Leave the washing machine door just slightly ajar after a wash so the drum doesn't turn musty.

How to do it
- Take the laundry out as soon as the cycle has finished.
- Lean the door ajar by just a small gap.
- Keep the detergent drawer and the seal dry.
Variations
- Don't leave the door wide open for days, as that puts strain on the hinge and the seal.
