Copy text from a Windows screenshot

Copy text out of a Windows screenshot with the Snipping Tool's text tool instead of retyping it.

How to do it

  1. Take a snip with Win+Shift+S and open it in the Snipping Tool.
  2. Click the button with the three framed bars; that is the text tool.
  3. Select all or part of the text and copy it to the clipboard.
