What you need

How to do it
- Place the raw egg in a glass of cold water.
- If it lies flat on the bottom, it is fresh. If it stands upright on the bottom, it can be up to 3 weeks old. If it floats at the surface, it is older.
Why it works
Over time, liquid evaporates through the shell and air is left behind.
