Nettle brew sprayed against aphids
Homemade nettle brew, diluted and sprayed on, is said to help against aphids.

What you need
- Fresh nettle shoots
- Rainwater (two litres)
- Pot
- Sieve
- Spray bottle
How to do it
- Bring the rainwater to the boil.
- Pour it over the nettle leaves and let it steep.
- Strain it, dilute 1:10 with rainwater and fill the spray bottle.
- Spray on overcast days to avoid scorching the leaves.
Variations
- Nettle brew is also used as a fertiliser and plant tonic.
