Burying chopped banana peel at the root zone
Chop banana peel small and work it into the root zone, where soil microorganisms break it down.

What you need
- Fresh banana peel
- Knife
- Spade
How to do it
- Cut the peel into cubes of about 1–2 cm.
- Work the pieces in about 5–10 cm deep around the roots.
Variations
- Banana water: Soak peel pieces in water for one to two days, strain the liquid and use it for watering. Soaking mostly releases free sugars and only part of the minerals.

Die frische Schale wird in kleine Würfel (ca. 1 bis 2 Zentimeter) geschnitten und etwa fünf bis zehn Zentimeter tief in den Wurzelbereich eingearbeitet.
Schalenstücke werden für ein bis zwei Tage in Wasser eingelegt, die Flüssigkeit abgesiebt und zum Gießen genutzt.
Beim Einweichen lösen sich vor allem freie Zucker und nur ein Teil der Mineralstoffe.
