Get fine marking lines with a carpenter's pencil by sharpening the lead flat.

- Carpenter's pencil
- Knife for sharpening
How to do it
- Sharpen the lead flat so the rectangular cross-section is kept right up to the tip.
- Place the narrow side of the lead against the square or rule.
- Mark your line.
