File a saw blade by hand – only if the teeth are not hardened
A hand saw with non-hardened teeth can be sharpened at home with a file.

What you need
- File
- Vise
- Saw set tool
How to do it
- Check whether the teeth are specially hardened.
- Level the teeth by filing the row of teeth even.
- Make three to four file strokes over each tooth until it has an evenly pointed shape.
