Follow me or run away: race for the gap in the circle
A well-loved circle game: who reaches the empty gap in the circle first?

How to do it
- The group of children stands in a circle.
- One child runs around the outside, taps a child in the circle on the back after a while and calls “Follow me!” or “Run away!”.
- On “Follow me”, the tapped child runs after them. On “Run away”, the tapped child runs in the opposite direction.
- The aim is to reach the empty gap in the circle first. Whoever takes the gap stays there.
- The slower child keeps running around the outside and taps another child.
