Spoon-and-egg dash to the mark
A party relay for kids: balance an egg on a spoon to the mark and back.

What you need
- One spoon and one egg per player, all the same colour
- Two round discs per player for start and finish
How to do it
- Lay out a start disc and a finish disc for everyone at the same distance, about 10 steps.
- Each player stands on their start disc with spoon and egg. Before the start, the egg may still be held by hand.
- On the signal, everyone balances the egg to the finish and back without help.
- If the egg falls, the player returns to the start and begins again.
- The first player back at the start without having dropped the egg wins.
Variations
- Form teams of two and award points for the places: 4, 3, 2, 1.
- Head-to-head race: two children per team hold an egg between their foreheads without touching it with their hands, and walk to the marker and back. Start and finish are about 10 steps apart for each team, with equal distances for all. Each team needs one egg and two round discs; foam balls work for younger children. If the egg falls, the team goes back to the start. The first team back without losing the egg wins.
