Pre-level a caravan with boards under a wheel

Pre-level a caravan: first side to side with boards under one wheel, then front to back with the jockey wheel on the drawbar.

What you need

  • 1–2 boards or levelling ramps
  • Spirit level
  • Support plates

How to do it

  1. Place the spirit level across the axle line, side to side.
  2. Put one or two boards in front of the left or right wheel and move the caravan onto them.
  3. Turn the spirit level by 90 degrees and level front to back with the jockey wheel on the drawbar.

Variations

  • Use levelling ramps instead of boards.
