Seal a tyre with the sealant kit from the repair set, valve at the bottom

Seal small tyre damage with the sealant from a puncture repair kit: valve at the bottom, sealant in through the valve.

◆ medium

What you need

  • Repair kit with sealant and compressor
  • Special tool for the valve core

How to do it

  1. Move the car so the tyre valve is at the bottom.
  2. Remove the valve cap and unscrew the valve core with the special tool.
  3. Prepare the repair kit with compressor, sealant bottle and hose.
  4. Connect the compressor to the car's 12-volt socket.

Why it works

Sealant closes small puncture holes. Larger damage, separation, cracks or leaking valves can't be fixed with it.

Variations

  • For damage larger than 4 to 5 mm across, use only the spare wheel or call breakdown assistance.
