Tell apart use-by date and best-before date
Learn the difference between a use-by date and a best-before date (MHD) on food packaging.

How to do it
- Check the pack for “best before” or “use by”.
- With “use by”, consume the product by that date and throw it away afterwards.
- With a best-before date, check that the pack is sealed and the food was stored properly, then check it by sight, smell and taste.
