Waning moon looks like an opening bracket
Tell whether the moon is waning by looking at the shape of the crescent.

- Look at the crescent moon in the sky.
- If the crescent is curved like “(”, the moon is waning.
- Remember that the bracket matches the start of the German word “abnehmend”, which means waning.
