Place the subject on a third line using the camera grid
Use your camera app’s grid to place the subject and horizon following the rule of thirds.

How to do it
- Turn on the grid in your camera app’s settings.
- Place the main subject on one of the four intersections or along a line.
- For landscapes, align the horizon with a horizontal line.
Variations
- Don’t apply the rule rigidly: breaking it on purpose can be a creative choice.
