Force a hyacinth in a glass
Force a hyacinth bulb in a glass over water so it flowers indoors.

What you need
- Hyacinth glass or forcing vase
- Hyacinth bulb
- Water
How to do it
- Set the bulb in the glass so its base only just touches the water.
- Leave it to root in a cool, dark place at 5 to 10 °C.
- Then move it to a bright spot out of direct sun.
- Change the water regularly to prevent rot.
