Watering wick from cotton or real wool for vacations
A cotton or wool cord can keep your plants supplied with water while you are away.

What you need
- Cotton or wool cord
- Water container
- Drinking straw (optional)
How to do it
- Estimate how much water the plants will need while you are away.
- Use a cord of real wool or cotton, not synthetic fibres.
- Thread the cord through a drinking straw so it doesn't dry out.
- Put one end in the water container and the other in the soil.
