Hangman on paper
The classic pen-and-paper game: guess a word one letter at a time.

What you need
- Paper
- Pen
How to do it
- The word-setter writes the first letter and draws a dash for each remaining letter.
- The guesser names single letters, and the word-setter fills them in where they belong.
- If a letter isn’t in the word, add a stroke to the drawing. 10 to 15 misses are usual.
- If the drawing is finished before the word is complete, the word-setter wins.
Variations
- Set a theme, such as animals or plants, or limit the number of misses.
- Draw a snowman or a flower instead of the gallows.
