Lavender as a scent barrier against clothes moths
Lavender in your wardrobe is a popular scent barrier against clothes moths, meant for prevention rather than treatment.
- Time
- ⏱ 10 min
- Difficulty
- ◆ easy
What you need
- Dried lavender or lavender oil
- Small bag, or a cotton ball in an open tin
How to do it
- Fill dried lavender flowers into a small bag.
- Place the bag in your wardrobe and refresh the scent as needed.
Variations
- Cloves, cedar wood, bay leaves, peppermint, patchouli or thuja (essential oil from the arborvitae tree) are also recommended.
- Strong smells: put cloves, a garlic clove or oregano or thyme in a small bag or loose in the wardrobe, and renew as needed. Not everyone wants clothes that smell of garlic.
