Code Breaker – so spielst du

Code Breaker – how to play

Behind the brass shutter lies a code of four gemstones. You have ten attempts to guess it.

Place four stones in the glowing row and check. A gold pin means: right stone in the right place. A silver one: the stone is in the code, but in another place.

Easy: five kinds of stone, each at most once in the code, the pins sit right next to their place. Hard: six kinds, stones may repeat, the pins only reveal the count.

Tips

  • Start with as many different stones as possible – that quickly tells you which are in the code.
  • Change little between two attempts, then you see what moved the pins.
  • On Hard think of doubles: two identical stones are allowed.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Mastermind?

Yes, Code Breaker follows the well-known principle: guess the code and deduce from the hint pins.

What is the difference between Easy and Hard?

Easy has five colours without doubles and hints per place, Hard six colours with doubles and only counted hints.
