:
You guide a wind-up robot tile by tile through a temple courtyard of 13 × 11 tiles. Walls and stone pillars are solid, wooden crates can be blasted. Drop a bomb on your tile: after 2.5 seconds it explodes in a cross of flames with an initial range of two tiles. The blast stops at walls and pillars, destroys only the first crate in each direction and sets off other bombs at once. The flames last half a second and catch everyone – you as well. A crate scores 10 points.
Slimes walk straight and turn at random at crossings, beetles (from level 3) take the shortest path to you once you are near, wisps (from level 6) float through crates. If a monster touches you, you lose a life. Monsters score 100, 200 and 400 points. Some crates hide power-ups (50 points each): Bomb+ (one more bomb at a time, up to 6), Flame+ (one more tile of range, up to 7) and Boots (faster, up to level 3). When you lose a life, each kind drops one level.
One crate hides the rune gate. It opens once all monsters are defeated; step in to clear the level for 1000 points plus 10 per second left. Each level gives you 200, 180 or 150 seconds (easy, medium, hard) – if time runs out, you lose a life. You start with 3 lives and get one more at 20,000 and at 60,000 points. Every level brings more crates and monsters, and the monsters get faster.
A d-pad sits at the bottom left (hold to keep walking), the round bomb button at the bottom right.
You lose a life and restart the same level – with full time and all monsters back.
First by the level reached, then by score – separately per difficulty. You need a free account for it.
